As in, "stealth" will largely be based on enemies not being able to see more than twenty meters in front of them. Still going to be using the old game mechanics. It was a fun ride though, and I'm pretty interested given that they got all the mods working together that I wanted to use. I've only ever played Deus Ex once, and I stopped at Area 51. The mod will be available for download and on Steam in under an hour. The Cathedral (compared to it's old version) *A medbot will still be required to augment yourself. A little mod that started off as an effort to get the damn laser sight to turn on automatically now includes additional augmentations, unique weapons, new game mechanics, bugfixes, restored game content, and even a complete and working alt-fire option for almost. The original can be swapped in if one wishes. 'Removing the suck from Deus Ex.' Its an odd slogan, but thats what Shifter does, what little of it there is. Shifter and Biomod rebalance the game in lots of small and not-so-small ways. The HDTP and New Vision mods throw in some more detailed models and textures respectively. It will also be integrating some existing mods into itself. The areas are greatly prettied up and a few new alternate paths might be added. It largely expands upon the level design of the original Deus Ex. So, a bunch of modders are releasing an upgraded version of the original Deus Ex.
